RE:      2011 NACCA Annual Meeting and Regulators’ Training Symposium

Date:   March 25, 2011

Attached is a registration form, invoice, and a preliminary program for NACCA’s 76th Annual Meeting and Regulators’ Training Symposium to be held from June 21–24, 2011 at the Westin Tabor Center, Denver, CO.  Please take advantage of this opportunity to network with fellow regulators from other states and agencies, who are dealing with many of the same issues confronting you in the regulation of the consumer credit industry. Your attendance, along with your training, compliance, and legal staff, is strongly encouraged.   Please note the following:

  • Your completed registration form and registration fee must be returned to the NACCA office prior to May 20, 2011.
  • The NACCA program will begin on Tuesday, June 21 at 1:00 pm. A preliminary program is attached.
  • The meeting also includes a one-day joint educational and training program with the American Financial Services Association on Wednesday, June 22.  This program provides a unique opportunity to discuss issues of common concern with our counterparts in the consumer finance industry.
  • This year’s Annual Meeting registration fee is $495 per person.  This fee includes three breakfasts, all morning and afternoon refreshment breaks, Thursday’s President’s luncheon and Wednesday’s joint lunch and reception.  The honorary and guest registration fee is $200 per person.  Your meeting name badge is your admission to all events.
  • Again this year, we are offering an Early Bird Registration fee.  If your registration form and fee are received before May 20, there will be considerable savings to your agency. Please see the attached registration form for more information on Early Bird discounts.
  • Although you may pay your registration fee(s) by credit card, please do so only if absolutely necessary. In order for NACCA to charge the lowest registration fee possible, we attempt to keep our expenses low, including bank credit card fees.
  • A registration invoice is attached.  Simply complete the “Agency Name and Address” box and indicate the number of persons registering and total amount of fees being paid, and forward it to your fiscal person.  If needed, a personalized invoice can also be furnished to your agency upon request to the NACCA office.
  • The dress attire for this year’s meeting will be business casual.
  • To receive NACCA’s hotel rate of $129.00 per night (plus applicable taxes, currently 14.85%), please call 1 888 627-8435 and reference the NACCA group room block.  The hotel’s deadline for reservations is May 14th.  Since this rate is less than the government employee per diem rate at the time of our meeting, I suggest that you make your reservations early. After our room block is full, we cannot guarantee rooms or a $129 rate at The Westin.

For those of you flying to the Annual Meeting, the hotel is located about 22 miles from the Denver International Airport.  Super Shuttle, a shared shuttle van service to and from the airport, is located in the baggage claim area. No reservation is needed and the round trip fare to the Westin Tabor Center  is $40. However, if you reserve and pay in advance online at:  www.supershuttle.com  or by calling
800 258-3826, the discounted fare is $36.  If you belong to AAA, their discount roundtrip fare is $34.

By reserving and paying in advance, you can also avoid possible long lines at the airport Super Shuttle ticket counter.

A taxi fare is approximately $55 one way.

American Airlines is offering a 5% discount to/from the Denver Airport for all meeting registrants.  The promotion discount code is:  2661AZ

Additional hotel information can be found on their website:   www.westindenverdowntown.com

I look forward to seeing everyone in Denver.  If you have any questions, please contact Ray Sasala, NACCA Executive Director, at (614) 326-1165.
